Price Control in Action: Our Clients’ Results
For our business, adhering to recommended retail prices is crucial, and we cannot afford to overlook this aspect. Initially, we attempted to monitor prices ourselves but soon realised that it was time-consuming and the results were often questionable. In 2022, we turned to Price Control and have been collaborating for nearly two years. During this time, the situation regarding price compliance has significantly improved. Their reports and statistics provide clear insights into who has violated pricing and when. The reports are informative and user-friendly, allowing us to effectively monitor 17 of the largest retailers. The monitoring system has greatly streamlined our price compliance efforts, making them more effective. Additionally, we commissioned market research from Price Control for products of interest and received a comprehensive report in a convenient format. We are satisfied with the work of Price Control and intend to continue our partnership. I would also like to highlight the exceptional competence of their staff and management.

Our representative office is not involved in product sales. The importers handle that, and we assist them in building a profitable business. For a long time, pricing issues on the internet did not directly concern us. However, as our products started appearing in major online stores, the issue of price dumping became critical. We did not have enough "hands" at the office, so we decided to outsource the task.
At the beginning of 2017, we gave the Pricecontrol project one store to work on. They completely removed our trademarks from it. By the end of 2017, we handed over 40 stores to them. Within five months, the team had fully stabilized the situation in those stores.
Today, we have moved to a new stage of cooperation. The Pricecontrol team now independently identifies violators of our pricing policy and automatically starts working on them. Currently, the dumping situation in the online channel is under control and continues to improve. One notable advantage of the project is that we only pay for the results achieved.
At the beginning of 2016, we decided to monitor retail prices in the online space. We found a team that offered to automate this process. We were satisfied with the trial results, and currently, we are monitoring the majority of online stores, including those on PROM.
However, I should note that being aware of the market situation and having control over it are not the same thing. The monitoring system REALLY helps in identifying stores that engage in price dumping, but it does not correct the prices.
To truly maintain the recommended retail price (RRP), it requires daily work from a manager who will call stores with lowered (or inflated) prices.
Back in 2016, we began collaborating with the project team. For over a year, we only used the price monitoring service. We regularly received reports and tried to address the violations of the recommended retail prices on our own.
There was some effect, but influencing the violators required a lot of time. Working through our dealers to influence the violators did not yield real results. Our staff did not have enough time to deal with the online stores, and violations still occurred.
By the end of 2017, we were seriously considering discontinuing the service. In November 2017, we decided to try the "Anti-Dumping" service. In the first month of operation, dumping dropped several times over. By outsourcing the work of influencing violators, we freed up our employees' time and achieved certain results thanks to the persistence of the "Anti-Dumping" project team.
After six months of collaboration, less than 5% of our online clients continue to operate with reduced prices. Calls to our marketing and sales department from our partners regarding retail price violations have significantly decreased.
Overall, we are satisfied with the results. We are also pleased that the project management is ready to make quick and flexible adjustments for their long-term clients.
